Chac: The Rain God

Writer-director Rolando Klein's powerful drama follows the plight of a small village of Tzeltal Indians in the midst of a devastating drought. When all other means fail, the villagers employ a mystical diviner who claims he can end their woes. Led by the strange mystic, 12 of the tribesmen embark on an arduous journey of faith, hopeful that their efforts can save the Mexican village from extinction.
