Children of the Revolution
(1996)|
The enigmatic Judy Davis stars as Joan, an extremely devoted Communist Australian enamored of Joseph Stalin and his ideas. She writes him letters, and when she gets pregnant, she thinks the child is his. When she gives birth, she raises the child in a manner she perceives as the proper Communist Party way. What becomes of this child? The film spans forty years. Peter Duncan writes and directs this biting satire.
