Hoping to reconnect with the past, a man travels to China in search of his long-lost son. Unable to speak the language and unfamiliar with his surroundings, he enlists the help of the American Embassy and is connected with a female employee who speaks the language and knows her way around the country. The pair begin their journey, but soon realize they're in for much more than they bargained for. George C. Scott and Ali MacGraw star.
