Susan Sarandon narrates this biographical portrait of social studies teacher turned astronaut Christa McAuliffe, a remarkable woman who won a spot on the ill-fated space shuttle Challenger but never lived to see herself in outer space. With music composed by Carly Simon and never-before-seen footage of McAuliffe and her family, this documentary celebrates her achievements in life and mourns the tragedy of her untimely death.
