Set in turn-of-the-century Appalachia, this heartwarming family drama centers on determined 19-year-old Christy Huddleston (Kellie Martin), who leaves her upper-class city lifestyle for the rural community of Cutter Gap, Tenn., to teach impoverished children. Christy takes time adjusting to the villagers' social customs and way of life, and soon becomes romantically drawn to two men in this series based on author Catherine Marshall's best-seller.
