Director Marion Cajori expands on her short documentary "Chuck Close: A Portrait in Progress" with this feature film about the innovative artist, following Close's creative process over the course of three months as he paints a giant self-portrait. Interviews with many of Close's colleagues -- including Robert Rauschenberg, Philip Glass, Elizabeth Murray, Brice Marden and Alex Katz -- shed light on the life and career of this remarkable painter.
