In this popular Mexican TV series, small-town teacher Francisco Romero (Jorge Poza) tries his luck in Mexico City at a prep school, where he learns he must do more than merely present lessons to his students: He must earn their respect. Romero mentors his young charges as they deal with myriad problems, including poverty, domestic violence, pregnancy and drug addiction, by turns acting as his students' adviser, psychotherapist and even detective.
