Michael Keaton received a Best Actor award from the National Society of Film Critics for his turn as Daryl Poynter, a big-time Philadelphia realtor with a hefty cocaine addiction, in this affecting drama. Poynter's world comes to a halt when he finds a dead woman in his bed (the result of an overdose) and gets a call from his employer about missing funds. Running from both his past and the law, Poynter hides out in a drug treatment center.
