Commandos Strike at Dawn

Nominated for Best Score at the 1942 Academy Awards, this wartime film tells the story of an unassuming Norwegian fisherman, Erik Toresen (Paul Muni), who leads his neighbors in a rebellion against the invading Nazi troops. When the soldiers start gunning at him, Erik escapes to England and joins the British army to continue his fight against the Germans.
