When the man convicted of slaying his young daughter tirelessly pleads his innocence, overworked police Capt. Richard Malinowski (Jean Dujardin) finds himself compelled to consider the possibility that a monstrous killer remains on the loose. Armed with the desire to do right by his daughter, Richard takes it upon himself to reopen the closed case and determine once and for all who's responsible for his shattering loss.
