In this classic action thriller, Clint Eastwood is the cool and collected Walt Coogan, a cop who has left his small Arizona hometown for the raucous city of New York to bring back a prisoner, James Ringerman (Don Stroud). But when Coogan is caught in a rare moment of weakness, Ringerman gets the better of him and escapes. Now, Coogan must walk the unfamiliar and sometimes dangerous streets to hunt him down, no matter what it takes.
