Singing, dancing and showgirls enliven this musical comedy set in the famed New York nightclub. In his first film appearance without his brothers, Groucho Marx plays sleazy theatrical agent (and terrible performer) Lionel Devereaux. His only client is his fiancée, fruit-hatted songstress Carmen (Carmen Miranda). Comic shenanigans ensue when Devereaux books her for two appearances at the club on the same night -- as two different people.
