Lt. Fred O'Connor (Harvey Keitel) has finally nabbed serial killer Leo Smith (John Lydon, aka The Sex Pistols' Johnny Rotten). But Smith's not showing his hand just yet, and a frustrated O'Connor resorts to holding the killer hostage in a vacant apartment. Despite his situation, Smith still wields the power of knowledge over the beleaguered detective, leading to a battle of wills between the two men, neither of whom is ready to back down.
