Corso: The Last Beat

William S. Burroughs, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Allen Ginsberg, Ethan Hawke and Patti Smith appear in this biographical documentary about beat poet Gregory Corso (1930-2001), whose unstable childhood led to a stint in a New York City jail, where he began writing poetry. After his release, Corso took up with noted literati such as Jack Kerouac and Lawrence Ferlinghetti -- who published Corso's critically acclaimed poetry volume Gasoline.
