A committed teacher (Ju Xue) takes a job with very little pay in a small Chinese village, hoping to better the lives of her students. In the process, she gives her time selflessly and learns a tremendous deal about herself -- and about the powers of love, kindness and learning. This moving story was the winner of two Chinese Academy Awards.
