When childless middle-aged couple Albert and Alice Graves (Arthur Kennedy and Teresa Wright) discover an odd young man (Tom Happer) living in the crawlspace under their home, they take him in and treat him like a son. But their dream of finally having a child soon turns into a nightmare. As their surrogate son becomes comfortable, his deep-seated and dark secrets arise, leading to violent horrors in this classic spine-chiller.
