Whitney (Jenny McCarthy) is a TV reporter who moves to New York hoping to land a spot on a big network. While career-minded, she also dreams of finding romance with a well-heeled gentleman. Instead, she crosses paths with Jimmy (Chris Eigeman), a waiter and aspiring writer who lives with his father. Although the two definitely don't spark at first, other chance meetings conspire to force the two polar opposites into romance.
