This film noir twin bill proves the old saw that says crime doesn't pay. At the pushing of a detective (Sterling Hayden), reformed felon Steve Lacey (Gene Nelson) finds himself framing his ex-cellmates during a bank heist in Crime Wave. In Decoy, a scheming moll named Margot Shelby (Jean Gillie) is desperate to get her hands on her jailed beau's buried loot and enlists the aid of a con man and a gullible prison doctor.
