Mandy Patinkin plays Jason Gideon, the brilliant but emotionally scarred leader of an elite team of FBI profilers, in this police procedural drama that focuses on the thoughts and motivations of criminals rather than their crimes. Still recovering from a nervous breakdown, Gideon gets help from team members Aaron (Thomas Gibson); sex offense specialist Elle (Lola Glaudini); and socially inept but brainy Spencer (Matthew Gray Gubler).
