It's 1969, and single mom Tracy Cross (Goldie Hawn) must suddenly contend with her lonely 12-year-old son who misses his dad -- a shell-shocked Vietnam veteran who abandoned the family. Forced to wait tables and even strip at a nightclub, Tracy has her hands full, but domestic life takes a bigger turn for the worse when her son begins to traffic in drugs to help make ends meet.
