Journalists Ray McCormack and Basil Gelpke examine what takes place in a typical workday at an oil field in China. Through it all, the filmmakers pose challenging questions about humankind's contribution to the planet's environmental problems. An insatiable thirst for the fossil fuel has imperiled the world, and now humans face a bleak ecological future unless a true and lasting change in their consumption happens immediately.
