This heartwarming drama explores what happens when fate steers people down a path they hadn't planned to travel, which is what happens to Cate DeAngelo (Mary-Louise Parker) when she meets witty lawyer Harry Dietrich (Peter Gallagher) just before she's about to get married. Based a novel by Christina Bartolomeo, the film also stars Bebe Neuwirth, Brenda Fricker and Philip Bosco as Cate's impossible father.
