When absent-minded scientist Alex (Judd Nelson) walks into the path of an oncoming car, a family's dog, Rex, sacrifices himself to save the man's life. To repay the debt, Alex implants a computer chip into the pooch's cranium that gives him amazing super-powers. But Alex's partner, Erica, is involved in techno crime and wants to sell the dog's chip to the highest bidder. Doggone!
