An Alabama family reunites to support their Uncle Hazel (Jim Varney), who's on trial for murder. Musician Claude (Billy Bob Thornton) and his wife, Ruby (Laura Dern), are among the relatives who return, but no sooner do they unpack their bags than they get caught in a web of family infighting. Oscar winner Billy Bob Thornton writes and directs this dark comedy that co-stars Diane Ladd, Andy Griffith, Kelly Preston and Ben Affleck.
