Rising from the ashes of a tumultuous 10th season that saw Ewing Oil gasping for breath, J.R. Ewing (Larry Hagman) launches his own company, J.R.E. Industries, in hopes of living to lie, cheat and steal another day. In the meantime, Pam (Victoria Principal) lies in the local hospital, recovering from third-degree burns, and Cliff (Ken Kercheval) meets a wildcat oilman (Bert Remsen) who reminds him of his daddy.
