Damaged Lives

  (1933)
The Shocking Truth
After would-be executive Donald Bradley (Lyman Williams) cheats on his fiancée, Joan (Diane Sinclair), he feels guilty and quickly marries her. But a few months later, Elise (Charlotte Merriam) -- the other woman -- reveals to Don that she has a sexually transmitted disease. The businessman's betrayal ignites a series of tragic events in this classic morality tale based on Eugène Brieux's 1901 play Les Avariés.
