Living in the world of the Jamaican dance-hall scene, Marcia (Audrey Reid) is a barely surviving street vendor with a 15-year-old daughter, Tanya (Cherine Anderson), who's constantly fending off advances from her lecherous "Uncle Larry" (Carl Davis). When a seemingly unimportant incident sets off a tragic chain of events that leaves Marcia's good friend dead and her brother scared for his life, Marcia takes matters into her own hands.
