Brian Donlevy brings intrepid U.S. government agent Steve Mitchell (a character he originated on NBC Radio) to small-screen life in this short-lived spy series from the 1950s. The fact that he was never able to sell the show to one of the networks doesn't stop "Dangerous Assignment" -- which follows Mitchell around the world on a slew of perilous missions in Casablanca, India and other exotic locales -- from being soundly entertaining.
