Based on the novel by Martina Cole, this British miniseries centers on the life of Maura Ryan (Susan Lynch), the only daughter and eventual leader of a tough Irish crime family that rules the world of the London underground. Flanked by her brother, Michael (Jason Isaacs), Maura guides the family with an iron fist, proving that she is more than worthy of the status usually reserved for men in the male-dominated world of organized crime.
