Successful anchorwoman and mother Melanie Adams (Cheryl Ladd) hadn't bargained on falling for heart surgeon Peter Hallam (Michael Nouri), who lives thousands of miles away with his three kids -- but they strive to make their marriage work in this made-for-television romance.
