Annette O'Toole, Anthony Andrews and Jürgen Prochnow star in this 1992 miniseries adapted from Danielle Steel's novel about divorcée Sarah Thompson (O'Toole), who travels to Europe and weds William, the Duke of Whitfield (Andrews). Though World War II intrudes on their bliss, the couple opens a lucrative jewelry store upon William's return -- but when he dies, Sarah is left to run the business and contend with her problematic children.
