After being betrayed by the people he trusted most, inventor Paul Lionette (Christopher Masterson) realizes that the only person he can trust is himself. Certain that Russians are spying on him, Paul goes into hiding and tries to protect his greatest invention: the Cube. Under intense mental stress, Paul finds solace with a local waitress (Lyndsy Fonseca), but a shocking accident threatens to destroy his sanity.
