Darkness Before Dawn

Mary Ann Guard (Meredith Baxter from TV's "Family Ties"), a nurse at a methadone clinic, falls for one of her patients (Stephen Lang) while managing to keep her own struggle with narcotics abuse hidden. After the couple marries, the truth surfaces, and the two vow to kick their habit and lead a clean life. But the limits of their relationship are tested when their daughter is born addicted to heroin, placing even greater stakes on their recovery.
