Brought up by an adoptive Swiss family, 19-year-old Rallia (Cylia Malki) experiences culture shock after she returns to her native Algeria in director Mehdi Charef's riveting drama. Eager to discover her Berber roots and to find her birth mother, Rallia journeys to an isolated settlement in the Atlas Mountains. But she learns some eye-opening lessons when she ventures to the city to meet the woman who abandoned her.
