David and Lisa
(1962)|
Oscar-nominated director Frank Perry tells the story of David (Keir Dullea), a disturbed young man who's afraid of being touched but finds intimacy with Lisa (Janet Margolin), a young woman suffering from schizophrenia, in this independent drama based on a novel by Theodore Isaac Rubin. Lisa's dual personalities take the form of Muriel, a girl who communicates only through writing, and Lisa, who speaks teasingly in rhyme.
