After his dad is wrongly accused of murder and sentenced to death, Johnny Boylan (Billy Halop) joins a street gang to support his family in this surprisingly hard-edged entry in the popular Dead End Kids franchise. When spoiled rich kid Cyril Gerrard (Jackie Searl) suggests knocking off a drugstore, Johnny goes along with the idea. But he and his cohort (Huntz Hall) are forced to make tough choices when they find themselves trapped by the cops.
