Applying the honeyed skills of a salesman to the realm of national security, the smooth-talking Eddie Muntz (Chevy Chase) exchanges bombs, missiles and ammo for suitcases full of cash. Sigourney Weaver and Gregory Hines co-star in this deft comic satire attacking the state of international affairs, based on the book by Bernard Edelman and directed by William Friedkin (The French Connection, The Exorcist).
