When Juanito, patriarch of the Hernandez clan, passes away, his family comes together to mourn, pray, celebrate and hash out their differences, confronting death in the same dysfunctional way they've handled most of their issues over the years. Seen through the eyes of Juanito's careful and observant grandson, Bobet, the grieving process becomes an opportunity for the family to heal, or at least reach an unspoken understanding with one another.
