French artist Edgar Degas's paintings of graceful ballet dancers are among his most enduring works. Narrated by Frank Langella, this dramatized documentary reveals how Degas's passion for the movement of dance inspired his Impressionist masterpieces. Convincing re-creations of the artist at work in his Montmarte studio and at the Paris Opera -- where Degas spent years studying its dancers -- offer viewers a glimpse into the mind of a creative genius.
