When his wife and daughter leave for the city where the girl can receive medical attention, Mongolian steppe dweller Hangai (Bat-Ulzii) is left in peace to indulge his passion for planting trees -- until two refugees from North Korea find their way to his yurt. The pair stays with Hangai, and soon, he forms a curiously strong bond with the fleeing woman (Jung Suh) and her precocious son (Shin Dong-ho). Lu Zhang directs this atmospheric drama.
