It's been 20 years since the end of World War I, and Kania and his friends are scattered throughout Europe. But when the new war starts, they all return home. The Polish Underground's headquarters are seeking financial resources to cover the purchase of a huge delivery of weapons, and they learn that the German army is storing gold in one of the former Polish banks. And the only people who can get that gold are Kania and his crew.
