When wealthy Odette (Jacqueline Delubac) hires sophisticated Désiré (writer-director Sacha Guitry) as her butler, she soon becomes smitten with the servant, which leads to awkward moments in the household and amusing complications with Odette's uptight boyfriend. Guitry's lighthearted farce nimbly explores what happens when love and romance appear most unexpectedly. Jacques Baumer, Pauline Carton and Saturnin Fabre co-star.
