At the Hotel Concorde St. Lazare in Paris, penniless fight promoter Jim Fox Warner (Johnny Hallyday) tries to avoid the Mafia and everyone else he owes large sums of money to while his boxer Tiger Jones (Stéphane Ferrara) prepares for an upcoming fight. Famed French director Jean-Luc Godard casts Jean-Pierre Léaud as a detective investigating an old murder case and Alain Cuny as a menacing mob boss.
