This affecting film parallels the lives of two disparate women: uneducated villager Devaki (Suman Ranganathan) and worldly urbanite Nandini (Perizaad Zorabian). Soon after Devaki is forced into an arranged marriage with an impotent old man, she's raped by her brother-in-law but finds friendship with a runaway. Meanwhile, Nandini takes a job at her father's ad agency, only to discover that he wants her to bed a client to close a business deal.
