Told largely in flashback, Devi Putrudu traces the journey of a mystical box retrieved from the sea that contains a devi, or goddess, who keeps that sea calm. When the archaeologist who uncovered the box discovers its contents, he knows he must return it to its original resting place -- a task complicated by his death, the intervention of foreign interests and more in this fantasy starring Venkatesh, Anjala Zaveri, Soundarya and Baby Cherry.
