Peter Jensen (Joe Lando) knows what it's like to lose everything to the fickle and sometimes cruel laws of nature; years ago, his house was demolished by a devastating tornado that also wiped out his family. Now, a decade later, he's fighting yet another set of twisters. This time, the windstorms are threatening the Environmental Disease and Control Lab in Oklahoma, which could send countless deadly bacteria skittering across the landscape.
