Spanish cinema cult figure Jess Franco serves up yet another gory tale with Devil's Island Lovers, a sequel to his memorably kitschy 99 Women, in which a young couple winds up imprisoned in South America for a crime neither committed. Their nightmare becomes even more horrific when they discover that the prison warden (Rosa Palomar) is a brutal, vicious freak who relishes torturing her inmates. Dennis Price and Howard Vernon co-star.
