Young Husn Bano (Mala Sinha) gets pregnant outside of marriage, but her neighbor Amit Rai (Manmohan Krishna) and his wife agree to adopt her baby. When Husn Bano meets her grown son, Dilip (Shashi Kapoor), years later, she learns that he hates all Muslims -- including her. Working with other extremists, Dilip does everything he can to ruin the lives of Muslims, burning down their buildings and even committing murder.
