When a coup erupts in his hometown, Bharat, an Oxford student, joins his best friend, Anand, in starting a revolution. But his decision to rage against the establishment causes friction between him and his commissioner father. Meanwhile, Bharat's love for a beautiful princess must take a backseat to the chaos around them. Rajendra Kumar, Balraj Sahni, Ajit, Waheeda Rehman, Kamini Kaushal and Kumkum co-star.
