In this intriguing film from French avant-garde cinema, a travel guide (Sami Frey) engages an enigmatic interpreter (Delphine Seyrig) who's asked him for an entertaining story. As he spins his tales, one fascinates her most: a reality-bender almost beyond belief. In it, anarchists bomb a politician's family, killing all but a young girl. She's guarded by a sleepless man who clings to just one memory -- and if that memory dies, he'll end his life.
